Some sports can make you more prone to alcoholism than others.
Take golf, for example.
Those long walks and the availability of cars. You don´t have to be very athletic, right?
And being a game where socializing is most important, the club houses often end up being a trap for alcohol seekers.
Or take the Super Bowl.
The players have to be very fit, and endure harsh training. But for us, the viewers, it is a great excuse to binge eat guacamole & nachos. And to enjoy more than 6 beers at the halftime show.
On the other hand, to actually practice a sport takes discipline and dedication. For us, addicts, it is a good complement in recovery from toxic substances.
